Alta Hydraulic Supplies South Africa, a subsidiary of Alta SpA, Italy has been importing and supplying the finest quality honed steel tubing in Southern Africa for over 30 years.

We import and stock an extensive range of honed, seamless and electro-welded (DOM) tubes, in over 200 sizes, both metric and imperial. We also import CK45 chrome plated bars and CK45 induction hardened chrome bars, ranging from 16mm to 115mm diameter.

We cut to any length at no extra charge and provide a fast and efficient service with our on-site cutting facilities. We have 3 saws, our latest acquisition being an Amada power saw which can cut up to 10 tubes at one time. On request we can obtain sizes not in our stock from our company in Italy, depending on quantity and availability.

Our sales and marketing team is headed up by Billy Esterhuizen, who has more than 20 years’ experience in hydraulics. He is assisted by Vicky Rimbos is sales who is always keen to assist you.
Mila Naccari has been the managing director since 1998 and travels to Italy regularly to improve and extend our business.

Our factory and distribution centre is manned by a skilled group of saw operators, overhead crane drivers and have a collective experience of over 40 years between them.
